I created this mixed media painting depicting an abstraction of the oil refinery I grew up near to in North West England as I firmly believe that beauty is everywhere if you look for it. By day, this landscape was a dreary sea of steel but by night, the many lights against the dark sky, reflected in the waterway it sits next to, it became an almost jewel like wonderland. The vibrant blues, pops of red and orange, against the smoky charcoal grey and black, lends a sense of drama igniting the senses, perfect for contemporary homes and workspaces.
